In our travels through southern Illinois last week, we came across a "Field of Dreams," if you will. A baseball diamond in the middle of a corn field, some donated bases, and this funky wooden concession stand with peppers - I'll get to that. guys who heard the voice(s) of a couple of their cousins. The cousins, who were. in their mid-20s, played in a couple organized softball leagues. But they felt they needed a diamond for some "low key games" where everyone could participate.  |
