Fall, 2011
I'd love to be jetting around the country doing campaign events, including televised debates, etc. But, well, like other average Joes, I've got to work and I've got kids in sports. So this Fall, I've picked a circular radius of about 40 miles in Ohio. On some nights, and on the weekends, I've been going out to canvass with campaign cards and fliers. I'm stopping at homes, putting up fliers on various bulletin boards throughout towns, renting local billboard space (funds permitting), writing-letters-to-the editor about the campaign *And were asking our supporters to do the same.
This is the true grassroots answer to the multi-million dollar television ads, and so on. And what's more, it will work.
