I had done a series of articles about the local Boy Scouts for Liz's magazines.  Just as I was finishing them up, I came across a friend of ours, Steve Rodabaugh, who was taking his son, and a group of other Cub Scouts, to Camp Berry here for the weekend.  God's timing.  It made the perfect final article to the series, and is a good representation to the type of ethos thread throughout Scouting...  --Joe
